DOUGLAS L. MAHAFFEY emphasized real estate law at PEPPERDINE
UNIVERSITY in the early 1980s, where he also actively handled
the real estate assets for the University's general counsel.
Graduating at the top of his class, he was selected to become
"a litigator" within the large LOS ANGELES based firm of
BOOTH, MITCHELL, STRANGE & SMITH. During his years with
BOOTH... he specialized in construction law, complex tort
cases, and business litigation.
Later, MAHAFFEY was approached by a veteran partner of
BOOTH … who requested that MAHAFFEY start a new firm.
The "new firm" would later gain recognition under the firm
name of SMITH, SMITH & KRING.
Today, MAHAFFEY runs his own widely recognized firm of trial
lawyers. Since practicing away from the "big firms",
MAHAFFEY has tried over 25 cases, and won all but 2.
MAHAFFEY & ASSOCIATES is focused upon real estate, products
liability, construction defect, and trust litigation cases.
Recently,
Mr. Mahaffey has taken on a series of complex series of Civil
Ligation cases revolving around Oil and Gas and Business
litigation.
